Heather Rowe is a New York-based artist who received her MFA from Columbia University. She has exhibited in numerous museums and galleries including PS1/MoMA, Long Island City, New York; the Indianapolis Museum of Art, Indianapolis, Indiana; the Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, Ohio; UMMA/University of Michigan Museum of Art, Ann Arbor, Michigan; Galerie Zink, Berlin, Germany; D'Amelio Terras, New York; Michael Benevento Gallery, Los Angeles; Ballroom Marfa, Texas; Andrea Rosen, New York; White Columns, New York; and Artists Space, New York. In 2008, her work was featured in the Whitney Biennial. In the past decade Rowe has exhibited extensively, including; an outdoor project at Socrates Sculpture Park in Long Island City, New York; solo exhibitions at James Cohan Gallery, and Lucien Terras, both in New York; and installations at Diverse Works, Houston, Texas; and Providence College Galleries, Providence, Rhode Island.

Her work has been featured and or reviewed in numerous publications such as: Artforum, Modern Painters, the New York Times, Art in America, The New Yorker, Flash Art, and Art Review. Adjunct, full, and part-time teaching posts have included: University of Pennsylvania School of Design, Harvard University (Department of Visual and Environmental Studies), Yale University, the Cooper Union, and Rutgers University, among other institutions. She is currently Associate Professor and Graduate Program Director in the Sculpture department at RISD.
